It is essential that each initiated member of Alpha Omicron Pi to have a solid foundation of current and historical AOII knowledge.
The IME helps prepare our members to answer questions that they or the external public may have about our organization. The IME serves to remind our members of the basic and essential knowledge of our Fraternity, to instill this knowledge, to ensure it will be shared beyond one’s college years and to help continue the education that began as new members. As Stella George Stern Perry once wrote, “Humanely speaking, you are all founders of Alpha Omicron Pi today, quite as truly as you were in the beginning. We know that you will always lay the same eternal foundations and that you will build upon them with constancy, patience and unfaltering faith.” By knowing the information asked by the IME, members will live out the vision of our Founders.
